Both are good products that I have ever experienced. Carmex works wonders on cold sores and is inexpensive. Blistex has so many possibilities and always affordable. Effectiveness can sometimes be good, at least with both!
Carmex works better, but feels better on.Oh and cheao Blistex Burt's Bees is a very good light, if thats what ur have.

Blistex seems in general, more medical or perhaps more menthol? Carmex seems more based on petroleum jelly with some menthol ... but not much. I like both. I have recently bought, Bath & Body Works version called My favorite lip balm or something - that's pretty good.

I do not know .. one, because they have oil, which is the same as gasoline from crude oil. Think twice before gasoline, that in my mouth ... I may think twice about oil as a Carmelite, and Blistex.
